Kazakhstanis will be able to apply for social benefits regardless of their registration

In the third quarter of 2021, an extraterritorial principle for the provision of public services will be introduced for processing three types of social payments. Kazakhstanis will be able to contact any public service center in the country, regardless of their permanent place of residence. Deputy Chairman of the State Corporation “Government for Citizens” Birzhan Zhunusov spoke about this at a briefing at the Central Communications Service.

Nowadays, having a permanent residence permit is one of the main criteria for receiving social benefits.

“One of the directions of digitalization of the process of providing public services is the introduction of the extraterritorial principle. In the third quarter, thanks to this principle, Kazakhstanis will be able to apply for benefits for the birth of a child and for caring for him, social payments in case of loss of income in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child and in case of loss of income in connection with caring for a child upon reaching the age of one year in any public service center in the country, regardless of registration. By the end of the year, we plan to introduce the extraterritorial principle for other payments,” said Birzhan Zhunusov.

During the first half of 2021, “Government for Citizens” provided 815,042 government services in the social sphere. In general, the state corporation generates electronic models of cases for 44 types of payments and maintains personalized records of mandatory pension, social and medical contributions.
