State Corporation "Government for Citizens" received the UN Award"

On December 13, the UN Public Service Awards ceremony was held in Dubai (UAE). For its contribution to the development of the civil service for 2021, the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" received the award.

This award is presented annually by the UN Socio-Economic Council for outstanding achievements in public service at all levels. It was first established in 2003 by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and is overseen by the Division of Public Institutions and Digital Governance (DPIDG).

The UN Public Service Award recognizes the creative achievements and contributions of government agencies to a more efficient and responsive public administration system. The prize is awarded in categories such as increasing transparency, accountability and responsiveness of public services, improving service delivery, encouraging participation in decision-making through innovative mechanisms, promoting the exchange of knowledge in the field of management.

The state corporation was noted for its best practices and innovations in providing inclusive and equal services for all. The award was received from the organizers in a solemn ceremony by the Chairman of the Board of the Government for Citizens state corporation, Adil Kozhikhov.

  “We are very pleased to receive this award. Our work in the field of providing public services to citizens was highly appreciated by UN representatives. We were noted for creating comfortable and equal conditions for all categories of people through digital transformation. We try to create the best conditions for our clients. We will continue to work in in this direction. I would like to thank every employee of the State Corporation for the contribution they make to the development of our sphere. This is our common success and recognition,” said Adil Kozhikhov.

  Any organization of UN member states can take part in the competition for the award for contribution to the development of public service. Since 2003, the award has been awarded to 250 initiatives in 82 countries.

  The State Corporation "Government for Citizens" was nominated as part of a joint memorandum of cooperation with the Astana regional hub in the field of public service.

  The State Corporation "Government for Citizens" was created in 2016 and became a single provider for the provision of government services to citizens.
