Homeowners will receive an SMS when registering their residence permit

The State Corporation “Government for Citizens” of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan has introduced a new service for sending SMS messages to homeowners about the registration of new persons and to residents who have been deregistered.

Now, when registering citizens through the Public Service Center, the home owner will receive a message on his phone with the details of the person he registered. If the owner wants to expel someone from his living space - the person who was evicted - also receive a message about this.

“Kazakhstanis often write to me that someone is registering complete strangers with them. The new service should solve the problem - if someone tries to register a person in your living space through the Public Service Center without your participation, you will immediately know about it thanks to SMS- notification. The service will help in the fight against intermediaries who offer registration for money,” said Bagdat Musin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since 2019, the state corporation “Government for Citizens” has been able to process registration of citizens. Previously, this service was provided by migration service workers located in public service centers.

You can also register or deregister a person at your place of residence online through the eGov portal. The owner of the property and the person being registered must have an electronic digital signature (EDS).
