353 people selected for the “Government for Citizens” personnel reserve

On March 1, 2021, selection for the “Government for Citizens” personnel reserve began, which ended on April 30. Registration of participants took place from March 1 to March 12; 1,873 applications were received. Taking into account the experience of the presidential personnel reserve, candidates went through a selection process consisting of several stages. They took tests and were interviewed.

The applicants were selected by a special commission consisting of deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the media, government and public figures, HR specialists, representatives of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and the Anti-Corruption Agency, members of the National Council of Public Trust, members of the Board of Directors and the Management Board of the State Corporation.

Based on the results of the final stage, 353 people were enrolled in the “Talent Pool”.

“The Talent Pool project was supported by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who instructed us to ensure maximum transparency in the selection process. Any interested Kazakh citizen could take part. I am confident that the implementation of the project will help the real implementation of the principles of meritocracy in the State Corporation and the creation of social elevators. The first appointments from the personnel reserve will begin in the near future, as soon as suitable vacancies appear,” said Adil Kozhikhov, Chairman of the Board of Government for Citizens.

The main goal of the project is to find promising employees, develop their competencies, and subsequently promote them to vacant management positions.

When developing the selection, the experience of similar projects was studied - “Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve”, “Industry Managers of the Elbasy Academy” and “Zhas Orken”. “Talent Pool” became the fourth major project to create a personnel reserve in Kazakhstan.
